Tony Armendariz’ 2-Day Watercolor Workshop – Architecture with the Figure – February 15 & 16
“Architecture with the Figure,” Tony Armendariz’s watercolor workshop, is designed for painters who have a basic command of the watercolor medium, from the serious beginner to the advanced student.
In this two-day workshop, you will learn ways to incorporate the figure with architecture in a watercolor painting. Tony will demonstrate various techniques and will then work with students individually. Items covered will include: composition and focal point, color and value decisions, and when to use wet-onto-wet or wet-onto-dry. Reference photo will be supplied.
Fee for the two-session course is $140, payable before the first class.
Class Dates are February 15 & 16, 2025 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm..
Supply List: Students should review Tony’s Workshop Schedule & Materials List for a list of supplies to bring to the first class. These are common art supplies available online or through your local art supply store.

Graduating from the American Academy of Art in Chicago, he studied under renowned watercolor instructor Irving Shapiro and began a long career as a graphic artist, illustrator and web designer. Tony’s work has been published in Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector and Watercolor Artist magazines. Exhibit venues include the Butler Institute of American Art, RJD Gallery, the Salmagundi Club and Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art.
