Sharon Hurst is an acrylic painter who dabbles in many different artistic styles. Born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, Sharon received her B.F.A. from Northern Illinois University with an emphasis in drawing. Upon graduation, Sharon immersed herself in the Chicago art community and developed a love for a non-representational style which she had experimented with in art school. She gradually moved towards a more stylized representational approach that is present in her current work. Now living in Antioch, Illinois with her husband Allen, Sharon’s love of nature has become the subject matter for most of her work.
When not creating art, Sharon enjoys spending time with friends and family, working in the garden and playing with her beloved pets.
