Featured Artist Monica Feld

Monica Feld has  been passionate about art and nature since she was in elementary school.  Her favorite pastime as a child was drawing animals (mostly dogs).  Monica studied advertising and illustration at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.  After working at Chicago advertising agencies, she went back to school to earn a Masters in Elementary Education at National Louis University and then landed her “dream job” as an Art Educator at Sprague School in Lincolnshire, IL.

Now, recently retired, Monica dedicates more of her time to experimenting with a variety of art mediums and subject matter.  Her artistic style is ever evolving and celebrates mark making, color and texture.  She is currently working in pastels and loves their rich and vibrant colors.

Monica serves as the Education Coordinator for the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation, along with teaching youth art classes at the AFAF gallery.
