Lonni Peterson is a watercolor artist inspired by her faith and a love for the beauty of creation around her.
A former California educator, she began painting in 2007 after moving to Colorado and sold her first painting through the local art council’s Art Registry program, which she chaired as a board member and secretary for many years. She subsequently began selling originals and reproductions of her art as greeting cards, prints and calendars. Most of her paintings are taken from photographs of her garden and from trips across the country and abroad.
Lonni relocated to the northwest Chicago suburbs in 2013 with renewed inspiration at her lakeside home. She is a member and secretary of the Lakes Region Watercolor Guild, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and is President of the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation.
