Featured Artist Markus Clavadetscher

Markus Clavadetscher, born in Chicago to a creative Swiss family, is a self-taught fine artist, poet, and author.  In his formative years, Markus watched his father create art, so turpentine is in his blood.

Markus has a special interest in “Art of the Twentieth Century”, which is evident in his abstract paintings, sketches and sculpture. You’ll also see that he has successfully followed his late father’s advice to “paint with your heart, or better yet, allow your soul to do the painting for you.”

Visit the AAC in September to experience Markus’ eclectic style and his honest and sensitive expression of the human spirit.
