Pastel Landscape – 4 Part Course – Thursdays 6:30 to 8:00 pm

Artist Tiffani Williams guides students age 16 to adult as they learn the basics of using soft pastel to paint a beautiful expressionist style landscape!
Techniques and concepts you will explore include:

• Framing
• Different compositions for landscapes
• Types of strokes
• Color vs. temperature vs. value
• Underpainting
• Blocking and building layers
• Creating depth and detail
• Blending methods
• Fixing

Fee for the four-part course is $150, payable at registration.
Class Dates are Thursdays February 6, 20 & 27 and March 6, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm.

Supply List –  Tiffani will provide paper, blending tools, fixative and reference photos.  Attendees must provide:

• Soft pastels (not oil pastels) in a range of landscape colors

• #2 pencil and sharpener
• 11×14 frame with 8×10 mat and GLASS (not plexi or acrylic)
• Optional – gloves, masks & hand wipes, if desired
