“Anyone Can Draw!” 4 Session Course – Thursdays 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
Improve your drawing skills in this hands-on 4-session workshop by teacher and illustrator Tom Bartlett! Starting with simple lines and basic shapes, lessons will be tailored to participants’ skill levels and needs – designed to guide beginners and to help those with intermediate experience find a fresh approach.
Elements to be covered include the human figure form, facial features, still-life and landscape composition, perspective, value studies and cartooning. Class size is limited so register early!
Mr. Bartlett, a retired elementary art teacher, studied drawing at the American Academy of Art. He has illustrated many CD and LP album and book covers, as well as periodicals. Tom also works in watercolor and is a member of the Lakes Region Watercolor Guild.
Fee for the four-week course is $80, payable before the first class.
Class Dates are Thursdays March 28th, April 4th, 18th and 25th, 2024.
Supply List: Students should bring the following items to the first class:
1) A standard 9 x 12 inch sketch/drawing pad
2) A white or kneaded eraser
3) Several basic #2 pencils
4) Optional: Harder (H) or softer (B) pencils for value/shading studies
