Mixed Media Figural Sculpture – Weekend Workshop – October 17 & 18
Create A Mixed Media Sculpture!
Have you always wanted to create a 3D sculpture but didn’t want to fuss with clay or other “traditional” mediums? In this class, you’ll learn how to create a dynamic 14” sculpture using beginner-friendly, affordable materials that you probably already have at home!
We’ll start with a pre-built copper wire armature on a base. Once we’ve built up our sculptures, we’ll prep them with a liquid polymer base. Then it’s time to unleash our designer instincts and dress our creations. You’ll be free to make the clothing chic and fashionable or wild, funky and elaborate – the sky is the limit!
Last but not least, we’ll add some finishing touches with accessories (optional) and dry-brush techniques. You’ll then varnish your sculpture to make it more durable and archival.
Dates: Saturday October 17th from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm and
Sunday October 18th from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Cost: $125 per person includes two-day class and all supplies.
Ages: 16 to adult. This class is open to all skill levels. Beginners are welcome, but be prepared for a fast-paced class covering a lot of techniques.
