Mixed Media on Violin – Weekend Workshop – November 7th & 8th

In this 2-part class, you’ll learn to embellish a 3-dimensional wooden violin using mixed media decoupage with a variety of interesting materials, textures and found objects!

First we’ll prep the wood with a liquid polymer base. Then it’s time to unleash your creative instincts.  Make the design subtle and refined or wild and funky – it’s totally up to you!

Last but not least, we’ll add finishing touches with accessories (optional) and dry-brush techniques. You’ll then varnish your artwork to make it more durable and archival.

Dates: Saturday and Sunday November 7th & 8th from 11 am to 3 pm.
Cost: $125 per person includes the two-day class, the violin, and all supplies.
Ages: 16 to adult. This class is open to all skill levels. Beginners are welcome, but be prepared for a fast-paced class covering a number of techniques.

Supplies: All materials will be provided, but you are welcomed to bring your own embellishment accessories.
