“Felted Landscape” – Fiber Art Workshop – Sat & Sun March 21st & 22nd – 9am to 4pm
Natasha Lehrer Lewis is an award-winning fabric artist with a deep connection to the beauty and lifestyle of rural Americana. She spins, dyes and felts with fibers from local farms and from her own flock.
Join Natasha for a delightful weekend of creativity as you learn to paint with wool! In this two-part adult workshop, you’ll design and create your own fiber-art felted landscape. Learn how fiber can be used to blend, shade, layer and add texture. Bring a photo for inspiration or use your imagination!
On the first day we’ll design your picture and use wet felting to create the background. On the second day, we’ll explore needle felting, sewing, found objects, beading and more to add detail and dimension. Natasha will also explain how to finish and frame your one-of-a-kind work of art.
Cost of $150 includes supplies & materials for both sessions.
Optional supplies to bring on Sunday include a sewing machine, threads, beads and found objects.
Space is limited for this popular class, so register early!
Reserve your spot by visiting the Antioch Art Center at 896 Main Street or calling 847.838.2274. We are staffed and open Wednesday through Sunday.
