Color Pencil on Black Paper – 4 Part Class – Tuesdays in April – 6 to 8:30pm
Using color pencil is much more than what kids do at school or in coloring books – it is truly a fine art!
In this 4-part class, well-known artist and educator Phil Schorn will help you explore the beauty of drawing on black paper with colored pencil. Learn how colors work differently on a black background as you create stunning images that will seem to come off your paper. Though not a traditional beginner’s class, new students are welcome as well as experienced artists ready to try a new technique.
Students will learn how to put the color down on black paper, including the process of layering and blending. Each session will introduce new techniques as you practice on three or four different renderings. Reference images will be provided.
Fee for the four-part course is $200, payable at registration.
Class Dates are Tuesdays April 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm.
