Botanical Watercolors – 4 Part Class – Wednesdays 2 to 4 pm
Unleash your creativity in an exciting 4-session exploration of the art of botanical watercolors! Open to beginners age 12 to adult, as well as intermediate watercolorists looking to expand their knowledge in a supportive hands-on environment.
Through a series of guided projects, artist and retired teacher Lonni Peterson will help you to work with layers, contrast and color as you create your own works of botanical art. Whether you’re new to watercolor or hoping to break out of a creative rut, this class will expand your skill set and spark your creativity!
Ages 12 to adult
Fee for the three-part course is $100, payable at registration
Dates are Wednesdays August 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 2 to 4 pm
Supply List – Please bring these items to the first class:
~ 9×12-inch 140lb cold pressed watercolor paper block
~ #10 round brush with good point (i.e. Silver Black Velvet)
~ a container for water
~ tube watercolors (Holbein, Daniel Smith or Winsor Newton):
Alizarin Crimson
Ultramarine Blue
Gamboge Yellow
