Soft Pastel “Abstract Florals” – 2 Part Course – Thursdays October 15 & 22 – 6 to 8:30 pm
Explore a fresh, playful approach to florals in this hands-on soft pastel class! You’ll learn how to loosen up, simplify shapes, layer expressive color, and use bold marks to create an abstract floral painting that feels vibrant and uniquely yours.
Popular instructor and pastel artist Tiffani Williams is your guide. Beginners are welcome, as well as experienced artists who are looking to enhance their skills. No abstract or pastel painting experience needed—just come ready to experiment and have fun!
Dates are Thursdays October 15 & 22, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm
Ages 16 to adult are welcome
Fee for the two-part course is $75, payable at registration
Supply List – Tiffani will provide gloves, fixative, blending tools and reference photos. Attendees must provide:
- Soft pastels (NOT oil pastels). I recommend: Art Spectrum 40 Half Assorted. If you are bringing your own set, please bring a selection of colors similar to the set above, in a medium hardness.
- 9 x 12 Pastel Paper. I recommend UArt 400: https://amzn.to/4hKMleX.
- Our lesson will include finishing and framing the painting. Please bring an 11×14 frame with an 8×10 mat and GLASS (no acrylic or plexiglass).
- Optional – masks & hand wipes, if desired.
