Beautiful Batik Workshop – Thursday April 24, 2025 – 6:00 to 9:00 pm
In this exciting 3-hour workshop, artist Tina Fincher helps you explore the fascinating ancient art of Batik! Learn to use watercolor, rice paper, ink and wax to create vibrate designs. All skill levels are welcome and the main materials will be provided.
We’ll practice color mixing with a limited palette and how to layer paint and wax on rice paper, plus the final batik process of removing the wax. You will go home with a finished piece of art!

Fine-line permanent marker
Watercolor brushes for first wash
Detail brush, round #6, 7 or 8,
Flat- 1/2” or 1” brush (bring what you have)

Brown paper grocery bag

Reference samples to draw or trace
Rice paper – two different types
Older watercolor brushes that may be ruined by the wax. You may bring some of your own.
