I consider myself a “closet artist”, and by that I mean that I just didn’t know I had even one creative bone in my body until I was 39 years old. But, I am “out” now, and enjoying my passion. I’m one of the few “chick welders”, or throw back to Rosie the Riveter if you will. I use mainly steel as my main media and the TIG process for the most part.
My subject matter focuses on wall art and home décor with a unique twist. Some of my creations combine my artistic statement with a “functional” use. My passion has not come without formal education.
I am a certified welder in the repair welding industry, and hold 3 career certificates in Tig, Mig, and Stick processes, and a welding degree from the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois.
Current memberships include the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation, American Welding Society, and Board Member of the Welding Department Advisory Board at the College of Lake County.
