The AFAF Gallery is a non-profit gallery that is free and open to the public, and is staffed by AFAF member volunteers. For over a decade, the Gallery has enjoyed the opportunity to provide the community with an outlet for local artists to learn and display their work. Members of the community take advantage of the art classes provided through the foundation, and events such as Art on the Lawn, and the annual fall art auction and wine tasting add much to the fabric of our community. For example, new in 2010, Antioch hosted its first Public Art Program: Antioch's DOGS ON THE CHAIN (of Lakes). This was a community art project that leveraged the talent of members of the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation and delighted animal and art enthusiasts of all ages. DOGS ON THE CHAIN transformed Antioch into a dog-walking paradise. This brought together local artists and the business community with the creation of life- sized, hand-painted fiberglass dogs that have found homes throughout Antioch's Business Community, both in the Downtown area and around the Chain of Lakes. The final auction of the dogs was held in the Fall and provided much needed dollars for our Open Arms Food Pantry, Save-A-Pet, and the ACHS Scholarship Fund. Over $20,000 was raised.
