Call for Artists--Antioch Chamber of Commerce Dogs on the Chain (of Lakes)!

dogs on the chain
In 1999 there was Chicago’s COWS ON PARADE, in 2010 Antioch welcomes DOGS ON THE CHAIN!

Get Ready to Join the Fun! Antioch’s DOGS ON THE CHAIN (of Lakes) is a community art project designed to delight animal and art enthusiasts of all ages.

DOGS ON THE CHAIN will transform Antioch into a dog walking paradise, whether you have a dog or just enjoy dogs. This brings together our local artists and our business community with the creation of life-sized, hand-painted fiberglass dogs that will find a home throughout Antioch’s Business Community, both in the Downtown and around the Chain of Lakes.

CALL FOR ARTISTS: Showcase your artistic talents and participate in the promotional opportunities our artists will enjoy during DOGS ON THE CHAIN. This event is open to the artistic community, including painters, photographers, fiber artists and new media artists. Visit the Antioch Chamber website for more information. Get the Artist Packet here.

Thanks for Your Support in 2009!

Members of the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation (AFAF) would like to express their deep appreciation to the local businesses and residents of Antioch who have come out and supported our efforts to educate and promote the Arts this past year. We would, also at this time, like to extend an invitation to all budding artists and closet patrons to visit our facility this coming year. Membership is still $35.00 which includes membership in the Historical Society.

AFAF changes out their gallery of artwork every two months in addition to holding various community events and continuing educational art classes presented by member artists. Look for press releases in the Chamber and Antioch Newsletters as well as the local papers for details as the event nears. Admission is free.

For more information about the gallery, call 847-838-2274 during business hours: Th/Fr/Sa 10-4pm, Su 12-4pm. Visit us at The Gallery, 983 Main Street, Antioch, IL.
